Roman Fertility God

Fertility God Roman

"Fertility Goddess please hear my plea... ."

~According to Wikipedia "The fertility goddesses are the female deities to watch over and promote fertility, pregnancy, and birth in many polytheistic cultures.

~In some cases these deities were directly associated with sex, and in others they simply embodied related attributes. Some examples include Aphrodite in ancient Greece, Hathor in ancient Egypt, the Teutonic goddess Freyja, and Brigit in Ireland. Fertility gods are also present in many other cultures.

~Some archeological finds that have been proposed to be images of or associated with ancient fertility goddesses are Venus figurines such as the Venus of Willendorf"

~ Ancient Fertility Rites have included the honoring of fertility gods and goddesses in many ways and ceremonies.

~Fertility Goddess statues and carvings were often placed near the couples bed or on the family altar with suitable offerings that would ask the fertility goddess to work in their favour
